Val Casies/Gsieser Tal
Kradorfer Alm in S. Maddalena/Gsieser Tal Valley
From the head of the valley in St. Magdalena in the Gsieser Valley, at the entrance into the Pidig Valley, follow the signpost number 49 into the valley along the cross-country trail and typical pairs of farms on the left slope. Now the path slowly begins to go up. On your right side, the water of the Pidig soughs under heavy snow and ice caps. There are tracks of snow hares and roe deer on the untouched winter landscape. Soon the woods clear, and the alpine path, in a tight left bend, almost touches the edge of the stream – the Kradorfer Alm is already in sight from this point (1704 m; rest point).
