Texelgruppe Nature Park
A holiday flat in Partschins makes a great base for hikes or mountain bike tours. Texelgruppe Nature Park is the largest in South Tyrol, with an area of 33,000 hectares, and is served by a tightly-knit network of cycle paths. A Farm Holiday in Partschins allows hiking at three levels: lots of walks through meadows and panoramic paths along 'Waale' irrigation channels are easy enough for the whole family to enjoy doing them. Plarser Waalweg path runs from Töll to Schloss Tirol. Hikes between Alpine pastures start above 1,300 metres altitude, and those with ambitions to get up high can try to get to the top of one of the 13 3,000-metre-high peaks. An impressive natural sight in Texelgruppe Nature Park are the Spronser See lakes – a real highlight for experienced and sure-footed hikers.

Partschins waterfall
A walk to Partschins waterfall definitely belongs to a summer Farm Holiday in Partschins. It is the highest waterfall in South Tyrol, with 4,000 to 10,000 litres of water crashing down per second from 97 metres up into the valley – an impressive natural sight which can turn out to be most refreshing when standing right next to the water spray.

Partschins museums
Fans of museums will love the municipality of Partschins, as there are three to visit here. It doesn't matter if you've never heard of the inventor of the typewriter, Peter Mitterhofer typewriter museum in Partschins lends comprehensive insights into the development of the typewriter from its beginnings to modern times by means of over 2,000 exemplars. In Rabland there is a miniature railway, on the other hand, which will not just go down well with kids. The 'Bad Egart K.u.K.-Museum', or 'imperial' museum, close to the station in Töll, in Bahnhofstraße, is a real treasure trove for fans of the Habsburg monarchy. The open-air section of this museum, with its water standpipe and other curiosities, is interesting, too.

It's worth getting off your bike for a while to have a rest on the bench looking across the little lake. It's hard to believe that the lively spa town of Meran is just a few kilometres away.
