Anyone who has had breakfast on a farm in South Tyrol will never want to start their day any differently again. You will be spoiled with the finest delicacies during your holiday in the comfortable apartments or rooms. Thanks to the local origin of the products, breakfast not only tastes especially good, but it also has a unique character. Early in the morning, the farmer fetches the naturally cloudy apple juice from the cellar and brings fresh milk and warm eggs from the barn. Served with homemade cakes and a hot cup of coffee or herbal tea, the farmer conjures up an indulgent breakfast made up of authentic products.
A basket full of culinary delights
On some farms in South Tyrol the delicious breakfast is served in the cosy parlour. When temperatures allow, it is not uncommon to have breakfast outside on the terrace or in the garden. If you prefer a more leisurely atmosphere, then a farm that offers breakfast in a basket would be the right choice for you. The farmer brings it to the apartment door at the agreed time. So young and old can stay in their pyjamas and enjoy the most important meal of the day in comfort.
Following the rhythm of the seasons
On the farms in South Tyrol the breakfast is made up of the products from the farm, and it is also shaped by the seasons. In spring you can try fresh farm bread with butter and garden cress. In summer, fresh fruit and vegetables end up on the breakfast table directly from the farm garden. Cherries, apricots, peaches and berries taste crisp and fresh and are ideal for a colourful fruit salad or to mix with yoghurt. In autumn, farm guests can make their choice from the whole larder and enjoy apples, grapes, plums or pears. In winter they are spoiled with compotes, apple sauce and dried fruit. The seasonal variety makes every day on the farm a breakfast dream.
