Völs am Schlern
Tour of the Puflatsch
This leisurely loop-route around the Puflatsch leads to fairytale spots and breathtaking lookout points with unforgettable views over the Seiser Alm, the Dolomites and the Val Gardena and across to the Ritten/Renon, the Rittner Horn and the Ortles Group.
A number of benches and tables line the route, offering ample opportunity for picnicking.
This hiking tour can be found in the family hiking booklet “Out and About with Nix the Witch”.
The loop route leads on to the Filln Cross and the Witches’ Benches: According to legend, witches used to dance here - and even today you can see the stone benches with their backrests! The path now leads down to the Goller Cross and, with Schlern mountain in sight, back to Compatsch, the starting point of the tour.
