Bike fans and sports enthusiasts should plan a day out to Alta Badia for the Dolomite Marathon Day. Every year over 9,000 enthusiastic cyclists take part in the world-famous Bike Road Marathon, which has been held in Alta Badia since 1987.
Participants choose one of three routes over some of the most beautiful Dolomite mountain passes. The longest route is 138 km and includes eight different mountain passes totalling a height of 4,230 metres. The medium- length route is 106 km, and the shortest is 55 km.
Car traffic is prohibited on all routes throughout the entire cycle marathon to guarantee cyclists an undisturbed race.You can cheer on your favourite cyclist along the route while you enjoy a wonderful view of the Dolomites, or at the finish in Corvara.
