A top-class athletics festival awaits participants and spectators at the traditional New Year's Eve Run through the Old Town of Bozen.
’BOclassic’ is the name of the traditional New Year's Eve race in the old town centre of Bozen. It consists of a circular route of about 1,250 metres, which has to be completed eight times by men and four times by women. It starts and finishes in Waltherplatz. For years, the BOclassic has been considered to be the best-attended New Year's Eve run in the world. Anyone can take part in the "Südtirol hilft Charity Run" and the "Ladurner Volkslauf" and compete with the world’s absolute best in the original route through the picturesque squares and streets of the provincial capital of Bozen. Children and young competitors aged 10 to 17 can take part in the coveted Raiffeisen Youth Cup. The highlights are the male and female international races.
