Medieval charm and knightly competitions in honour of the poet Oswald von Wolkenstein in Kastelruth, Seis and Vols.
Named after the most important German-language songwriter of the late Middle Ages, the Oswald von Wolkenstein Tournament involves teams of four riders competing in various challenges. These are the "Ringstechen", “Labyrinth" and "Galopp" or "Tor-Ritt" and date back to the time of the South Tyrolean minnesingers. With a supporting programme of wonderful scenery, South Tyrolean folklore, colourful traditional costumes and magnificent horses, the event attracts fans from all over Europe to the Seiser Alm. Visitors to the Oswald von Wolkenstein Tournament immerse themselves in the 14th century and experience medieval charm, masterful horsemanship and South Tyrolean hospitality close up.
