There’s a big festival every September in Pfelders to mark the return of cattle from their summer pastures on the Lazinser Alm (over 1,800 m).
The celebration starts at 10 am in the village of Pfelders. In addition to many local delicacies and live music, visitors can look forward to demonstrations of whip cracking by the ‘Psairer Goaslschnöller’. The event will also feature the ‘Psairer Ranggeln' (wrestlers) and wrestling championships.
The main stars of the Passeirer Almabtrieb, however, are the over 150 festively-decorated cows and calves, which will be driven through the village of Pfelders to the festival site at around 12 noon and can be admired by visitors.
