The Apple Queen plays host to a variety of "Royal Highnesses”, ranging from the Apple Queen to the Onion Queen and the Poppy Queen.
Every year, the Apple Queen holds the Queens’ Festival. The evening before it starts, "Royal Highnesses" are officially welcomed and introduced at the "Blossom Ball". There’s a long list of product queens, ranging from the Apple Queen to the Asparagus Queen and the Onion Queen. On 1 May, the festivities begin with a morning drink and mood music. All along the "Royal Mile", the various queens give information about their region of origin, hand out autographs and are available to pose for souvenir photos. This is followed by a grand parade with festively-decorated floats. Accompanied by bands and Schuhplattlers, the queens take part in a parade through the village streets of Natz, which are lined with spectators. A farmers' market with South Tyrolean products and handicrafts and a children's corner round off the event.
