This speciality market features herbs used for medicinal purposes and seasoning, as well as wild herbs - all valuable resources for cooking and home medicine.
One of the highlights of the ‘Schenner Frühling’ (Schenna Spring) event is the “UnKräutermarktl" - (Wild) Herb Market - which was started by Priska Weger (farmer at Oberhaslerhof in Schenna, a "Roter Hahn" brand farm holiday location) on the covered Raiffeisen market square. Old seeds, herbs and rarities can be bought from the herb specialists at the market stalls. There will be workshops too, where visitors can learn a lot of interesting facts about the use of wild herbs in the kitchen, and about herbal medicine and traditional home recipes.
