Animals

Dear God most high, hear and bless
Thy beasts and singing birds:
And guard with tenderness
Small things that have no words.

Come out, sunshine bright
Come out, come out, sunshine bright,
Shine on Grandpa's fields your light,
And on Grandma's garden plot,
And upon the playground lot
Planted with the flowers of spring,
Where we children dance and sing,
Where they wait for you and play,
Hoping for a sunny day.

A mouse, a cat and a bee

In the house
there is a mouse.
Under the hat
there is a cat.
And where is the bee?
On the top of the tree!

A cat came fiddling
A cat came fiddling out of a barn,
With a pair of bagpipes under her arm.
She could sing nothing but fiddle dee dee,
The mouse has married the bumblebee.
Pipe, cat; dance, mouse;
We'll have a wedding at our good house.

Autumn
In autumn when the trees are brown
The little leaves come tumbling down
They do not make the slightest sound
But lie so quietly on the ground
Until the wind comes puffing by
And blows them off towards the sky.
