Basketry has accompanied people for centuries through different cultures and countries. Where once mainly utilitarian objects were handmade, today the craft of basketry is combined with new ideas and is present in modern living and design culture.

With basketry, natural materials from native shrubs and trees from the farm's surroundings, such as willow, birch, larch or hazelnut, are used. These allow numerous design possibilities due to their versatility in material, shape and colour. In addition, willows can be shaped very well due to their pliability. The braiding thus means in addition to craft also creativity and individuality.

This craft requires a lot of time, patience and dexterity and is great precision work. The fresh branches and twigs are carved lengthwise, broken evenly with skill and feeing them of the bark. Then the basic framework of the workpiece is laid out and the actual basket-weaving can begin. For this purpose, twig after twig is skillfully woven together. If the twigs are already dried, they must be soaked in water and made pliable for several days before processing.

Braided objects include classic and modern baskets of all sizes and shapes, decorative objects, as well as bowls, lights and even bags. The beauty of each product lies in the detail.
