The farm
Like lots of farms, Nösslerhof is shaped by a centuries-old history. It has been owned by the Zingerle family since 1902, now in the fourth generation.
The farm comprises five hectares of fields and 38 hectares of forest. The cows and calves on the farm are of the "Tiroler Grauvieh" and "Simmental" breed, which is typical of the Pustertal valley. The former is a rare breed worth preserving that was typically found on mountain farms in the past, which is why we decided to support this old tradition and rear these wonderful creatures on our farm. In addition to pigs and goats, we have chickens and a cat.
Traditional husbandry, sustainability and keeping the agricultural chain small is important to us. We have two wooden buildings made from our own timber. The wooden holiday house construction containing two apartments - Zirbe and Lärche - received an award in 2018.
