A barrier-free farm fulfils the following criteria:

Activities

• a classification of at least four flowers.
• breakfast with at least twelve different products.
• guests will be picked up or dropped off personally if they arrive or depart by bus or train.
• the farm folder contains information about barrier-free infrastructures and leisure activities on the farm and in the surrounding area.

Around the farm

• the parking spaces are as level as possible, located near the entrance and independently accessible for wheelchair users.
• path gradients are max. 8% or are flattened accordingly.
• you can move freely around the farmhouse.
• the main entrance area is at ground level. If this is not possible, then the entrance is made accessible by a ramp with a handrail.
• there is enough flat space in front of the entrance so that wheelchair users can open the front door alone and without problems.
• the main entrance door has a width of 90 cm.
• the lounge is also accessible for wheelchair users. The table is wheelchair accessible.

Interior

• the accommodation is on the ground floor or accessible by lift.
• the aisle and the inner doors are of an appropriate width for wheelchair users.
• the floors are non-slip and must not be covered with carpets.
• the light switches, sockets, power box and wardrobes are easily accessible for people with disabilities.
• the heating can be regulated independently and is easily accessible for people with disabilities.

Bedrooms

• there is sufficient space for people with disabilities to move and turn around next to the bed.
• the bed is wheelchair accessible from at least one side.
• the bed as well as the cupboards are at an appropriate height for people with disabilities.
• the bedrooms have wooden floors.

Washrooms

• the doors must be aligned in such a way that they can be opened and closed comfortably by wheelchair users.
• the washroom has sufficient space for wheelchair users.
• the washbasin is free-hanging and has an accessible height.
• the shower is accessible and equipped with a secure seat and additional handles.
• the toilet is at an appropriate height for people with disabilities and is equipped with handles. The toilet can be accessed from the side.
• the mirror is mounted at seat height or can be tilted.
• There is an alarm bell.

Holiday apartment kitchens

• the worktop is at an appropriate height for people with disabilities.
• dishes and kitchen appliances are accessible for wheelchair users.
• the tables have a comfortable clearance height and width and do not have a central table base.
