Spielberger Hof lies at 1000 metres above sea level on Pfeffersberg mountain near Brixen. We have brown laying hens with lots of space to roam, bathe in the sun and scratch around here. This and non-GM feed guarantee top-quality free-range eggs. "Seeing that my hens are happy means fulfilment for me as a farmer", stresses Stefan Schatzer.

Around 550 brown 'Gallus gallus' laying hens live at Spielberger Hof farm. The hens enjoy a wide run on the meadows and around the barn. GM-free feed and ideal rearing conditions are important to farmer Stefan.
