Apple fritters
These apple fritters were once even eaten instead of a wedding cake. They are best when tossed in cinnamon and sugar.

a little salt
vanilla sugar
a little cinnamon
icing sugar
Instructions - Apple fritters

StepPeel and core 4 apples and cut into wedges. Then sprinkle with vanilla sugar and cinnamon. -

StepMix together the ingredients for the batter. -
3.
StepDip the apples in the batter, fry on both sides in hot oil until golden brown, remove and drain on kitchen paper. -
4.
StepDust the still hot apple fritters with icing sugar and serve with vanilla sauce or cranberry jam and a mint leaf, if you like. -
