Farmer’s Gröstl
Unlike the Herrengröstl, the Bauerngröstl uses beef from ethically reared cows instead of veal.

400 gcooked beef

1/2bay leaf

300 gwaxy potatoes

1/2 tspmajoram

1finely chopped onion
-
salt, pepper

2 dspnoil

40 gbutter
-
200 mlbeef stock

parsley
Instructions - Farmer’s Gröstl

StepBoil the potatoes in their skins, peel them while still hot, let them cool down, then cut them into slices. -
2.
StepHeat the oil and fry the chopped onion in it. -
3.
StepCut the boiled beef into thin slices, put them into the pan, stir, add salt and pepper. -
4.
StepAdd marjoram, bay leaf and potatoes, roast everything well, add butter. -
5.
StepPour a little meat soup on top, stir and serve. -
