Raspberry compote
This compote made from all kinds of berries can also be bottled and preserved for the colder months.

Instructions - Raspberry compote

1.StepSort the raspberries carefully, removing any leaves and stems.

2.StepDO NOT wash the raspberries as this will cause them to lose their flavour.

3.StepPut all the ingredients in a saucepan and simmer gently for 5 minutes.

4.StepAllow the compote to cool and serve.

5.StepIf necessary, you can thicken the compote with a little cornflour. Other ingredients such as vanilla, lemon or rum can be used to perfect the flavour. This compote is served with vanilla ice cream to make the classic “Heiße Liebe” (“hot love”).
