Wine soups have purportedly been around since Roman times, used to strengthen the sick. This popular soup is traditionally made with white wine.

500 mlstrong meat stock

5egg yolks

250 mlcream

250 mlChardonnay
Instructions - Wine soup

1.StepToast the diced bread in butter and sprinkle with cinnamon.

2.StepWhisk together the hot stock, egg yolks, cream and white wine over a low heat until nice and creamy.

3.StepServe in warmed bowls and garnish with a few croutons and cinnamon.
