Visitors to the highest-altitude Christmas Market in the Alps will feel the Christmas spirit, contemplation and nostalgia.
2,061 metres above sea level, among the mountains of the Stilfserjoch National Park, the hustle and bustle at the Christmas market on the Enzianalm in Martelltal valley has a distinctive character. South Tyrolean specialities, traditional handicrafts and farm products are on offer in a contemplative atmosphere. The supporting programme with Alpine music, wood-turning and lace-making promises entertaining hours and new, unusual insights into the world of arts and crafts. Time flies during the handicraft course and the kids will be proud of their homemade souvenirs. Walking through the snow on foot or gliding along in a horse-drawn sleigh, visitors can reach the Lyfi Alm, where a ‘real live nativity scene’ enchants the young, and the young at heart. The holiday farms in Martelltal valley also exude heavenly winter romanticism, with the highest farm at 1,850 metres above sea level.
